BitShares Destroys its Old Transaction Record

BOOM! This just happened.

During the last 24 hours BitShares has set a new all-time-high record for the number of transactions processed within a 24 hour period. In total, the BitShares blockchain processed 2,327,826 transactions which equates to 26.94 transactions per second. As you can see below, we are very close to breaking the record set by the Steem blockchain. I'm thinking that we could even break their record later today.

What's really amazing is that the BitShares blockchain did all of this while only utilizing .19% of it's total capacity. Let's look at the performance of Ethereum to give some perspective. The Ethereum blockchain processed 733,408 transactions during the same 24 hour period, but at the moment 17,093 pending transactions which means their blockchain is over capacity.

Uh, what's wrong with this picture?

BitShares is only worth $.134 each while Ethereum is worth $434 each.

While investors wait for Ethereum to scale to meet market demand, BitShares is already able to support market demand.

Let's get the word out about BitShares and help people understand the true power of the BitShares Decentralized Exchange.
