Blizzard's Blue-Eared Buddy
I was thinking about a bucket to start my robot drawing today for my interpretation of one of the prompts for the Nostalgia Knitwear Slay-a-Sketch November Week 2 Challenge
Monday: Oversized Scarf Serenity—drawing a character whose face is almost entirely hidden by a giant, chunky knit scarf.
It was not an easy start because I have not much inspiration to start my drawing. I kept doodling until I had this blue robot with tired sleepy eyes and a floating head. Not bad but something I can develop further
Here is the real challenge, how to interpret the oversize scarf. The draped chunky part on the neck is challenging for me draw I need to be careful not to make it look like being strangulated. Here it is at this point. Not yet loving it who knows what will become of it
I focused on the blue robot first and will worry about the scarf later I was hoping if I can make the robot right the scarf will follow. Defined some of the parts to make them stick out just a little the detail on the neck is kind of a nice touch I think. The feet and hands are now more pronounced and I love how it looks
To make it even more interesting the scarf now has this fringes in different colors making it look more like a scarf. The last detail is the snow on the ground and some snow flakes falling plus the dark background. I think it went well altogether.
Hope you like robot 13 which I doodled quickly today
love
Kim
