Mothers Day

So, Mother's Day has been an eventful day, and it's not even 7 o'clock yet.

First off, I woke up around 7:30, not realising why I felt so tired, until Aimee mentioned the clocks going forward last night.

Today, when I finished work, my dad met me and we went for a walk around town, got a coffee, and hung out in general. Then, my mum came and collected us, and the three of us headed to the shop to pick up a few bits.

When we got back to the house, the sun was belting, so it seemed like a good chance to listen to a few tunes outside.

My dad made up a few Tequila Sunrises, so it was a party from the time we got in.

I've had three of them, a bottle of Heineken and a glass of wine. Currently drinking my fourth Tequila Sunrise, and I have to say, I'm feeling a bit tipsy.

We had a roast dinner today too, which looks a bit excessive.

As the dinner was nearly ready, I realised that I hadn't actually eaten anything today.

The plan was to go out for a bit of lunch, so I didn't bring anything to work with me because I didn't want to spoil it.

But the roast was well needed and kind of brought me from the brink of obliteration.

I demolished the dinner in no time.

I didn't think I would.

It helped to snap me out of being tipsy, and now I feel like I can hit the fourth cocktail confidently.

The last time I was out drinking was the night before St. Patrick's Day, but that was a fairly easy-going affair.

I don't really drink too much anymore, or at least, not the way I used to.

Tonight will wind down soon, I'd say, but then again, I don't know what the story is. It's usually the unexpected nights that can be the maddest.
