Crash...

Yesterday, Ollie went to sleep in the afternoon, around 1 o'clock, so I took the opportunity to finish off a bit of work.

I am editing one of the coffee shop sessions for the WMC, which is the collective I'm a part of.

This is how it was when I opened it on that fateful day, and unfortunately, after about an hour and a half of work, it remains exactly the same.

I was wrapping up our performance and interview, and placing the intro and outro sequences in, and right as I placed the 2nd last one, the screen went black, and eventually my PC restarted.

As to what it was that made it crash, I don't know. I was hopeful that the majority of my work was saved due to the autosave feature I have activated. After loading it up again, it became clear that it didn't save, and after doing some digging, I realised why.

A couple of weeks ago, I was clearing up the computer and freeing space, and I deleted a folder, which was where Premiere was sending my autosave backups. No folder, no backups.

Right as I was thinking about starting it again, Ollie woke up, so I had no choice but to shut it all down.

It is such a major pain in the ass, especially considering the final part of the current set is going to be released tomorrow, which means the lads are going to be looking for all of these videos within the next couple of days.

I'm not worried about the time it will take to finish these three videos, and I'm not depending on these three, as I already have six rendered and ready to upload.

The thing that annoys me most, in situations like this, is wasted time.
