Getty Stats for October!

Time once again to share some statistics on my Getty Images Stock Photography monthly statement!

A total of 126 sales for the month of October

My highest sale was this image for $65.91

Technically, or should I say actually, this isn't a photo. I wanted to create something that looked like a photo of glittering gold dust and made this completely from scratch in Photoshop with various techniques of creating noise, colour layers and basically some good old trial and error.

This particular image has had 48 sales since upload

As you can see my digital patterns and scenes have really taken the bulk of my sales. Compared to a friend that has a similar Getty portfolio, but without the patterns, this has probably been my best move during the past 2 years. My monthly sales have kept a higher average compared to theirs and the obvious difference is the digital work.

The simple templates seem to do quite well. Such as the blank "studio backgrounds" and blank monitors. In fact, these make up my top 3 "best sellers" (most number of sales).

Some of these images I can find online being used on websites etc, but for the majority of them I have no idea what people are using them for.
