Before going to Start Introduction on SAP. Don't call SAP as SAAAA.....P. it's S A P. Who is working on it/Who learning on it, They call it as S A P.
What is SAP?
SAP Stands for Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing. SAP is basically company one of the biggest software developing company it was founded by IBM employees in 70's.
There is another terms listen often i.e, R/3, R/3 is the 3rd generation programming language. Its 3 tier architecture.

Presentation server- list of server added in the SAP layer(also called SAP GUI).
Please note: Each company/industries have their own server list.

Application Server
After choosing the any one the server its asking for User name and password.

after enter user name password its enter to Application Server. below is the image.

Database Server
The back end process of application server we can say Data base server.
