East China's Jiangxi Province, known for its abundant waterways and lakes, has long been celebrated for its rich water resources. In 2024, the province's water conservancy development reached a historic milestone, with investments hitting a record 70.43 billion yuan (about $9.67 billion). Numerous major water conservancy projects are advancing rapidly, including the comprehensive treatment project for the lower reaches of the Ganjiang River, which has already yielded remarkable results. The city of Nanchang now once again boasts its breathtaking scenery.
In 2025, the provincial government will further enhance waterway connectivity and upgrade key trunk and branch channels, aiming to restore the historical splendor of the Ganjiang River and Poyang Lake waterways. These efforts will boost water transport, drive economic growth and support rural revitalization.
Beyond improving water management, these projects will unlock Jiangxi's ecological and economic potential, creating fresh opportunities for local communities. As the province surges forward, a revitalized Gan-Po land is set to thrive with renewed energy and promise. #ChinaVibes #2025ChinaAgenda
