Hello Community, How are you? I am new in the world of cryptocurrency and a friend directed me here. Now, the Steemit welcome page has this section about "Creating #introduceyourself post" and as a social creature, I decided to follow the traditions. Although the page clearly states that the whole section can be ignored, but come on, who does that? One does not skip the "Hello World". Its a tradition, a ceremony to begin something new. So, I plunged in.

First posts were the kind you see everywhere: formal kind of introduction where you tell your name and your affiliations the listener may relate to. Cool!

Then there were people telling about their hobbies - surfing, backpacking, cooking. Truly, I loved that. They are giving you a reason to befriend them, to follow them on the first day. They have the confidence of going out in the crowd and declaring their love. Great!

Things were pretty nice until I came across this post by Creatovert. Now, this was something strong. Something that hits you in the guts and bares you of all your affiliations. Something we keep forgetting about. As @cryptovert said,

I have no clue.

I thought of introducing myself as something base, devoid of any labels, any affiliations and found that I become another animal, another bunch of cells with nothing to show as mine, not even myself. I discovered the importance of labels and affiliations. The human history reeks of associations and its result. Sometimes bad, sometimes good. People have lived and died for these identifications. There was no time in human history when we had no labels. At the very least, we have the labels of mine and yours. These are needed for most basic human functionality. It provides a way to recognize a person, a society, a nation. It helps us differentiate between emotions. Initially, every word must have been a label for other beings, objects, and actions. It helps us being secure as we can label people and/or their actions. So, why do we still want to be devoid of labels? And, what has this quest of understanding the base yielded?

I will be thinking this night and the next day and the day after. For that is what I am - a seeker. I ask questions and then I try to answer them. Like Dattatreya - the first teacher according to Hinduism - everyone is my guru. It's just that I don't have the processor to learn everything I notice. I miss that and hope for a day when we could increase our own memories, our processing power.

I am a priest of human history.

I am a dreamer of a better world.

I am a seeker of my own questions.

I am the successor of scholars, warriors, and traders.

I am the proginerator the future.

I am the destroyer of my own world.

I am the hero protecting my creation.

I am the revolutionary hoping to change the creation.

I am the conservative glorifying my past

I am the liberal castrating my fallacies.

I am the old who clings to the miracle of life.

I am the young who throws away the pain called life.

I am the child who cares about nothing.

I am the mother, the father.

I am the beginning, the middle and the end.

I am a miniscule part of what is this great Universe.

I am a human just like you.
