The Google Deep Dream

Introduction :
Being passionate about art in all its forms, I'd like to talk to you today about a contemporary tool I like to use to customize my pictures and get them a fantastic and psychedelic look.

It is a program published in 2015 by Google, using an algorithm to generate more or less hallucinogenic distortions on your pictures: The Deep Dream.

Initially, this algorithm was invented for scientists whose goal was to observe a deep neural network but also to detect faces and other patterns in pictures, with the aim of their automatic classification.

But how does it work ?
The algorithm reinforces the perceived pictures from millions of animals pictures and then generates an optical illusion that we all know: The Pareidolia (process of finding a familiar shape in a landscape, a cloud, smoke, an ink blot (#Rorschachtest) etc…)

From this marvellous tool, Google has managed to create a new form of Deep Dream: The Deep Style. This one allows to transform any picture into a great painter's painting.

The choice is vast among all the different artistic movements (Cubism, Surrealism, Pointillism, Pop-Art etc...) of which you know the main actors (Cézanne, Braque, Picasso, Dali, Seurat, Signac, Matisse, Kandinsky, Warhol...) yes yes, I'm sure you know them ;)

Once the photo has undergone a first modification, it is possible to go further in the experimentation by repeating the operation endlessly !

Conclusion :
