I couldn't wait until Halloween!

Halloween is on Sunday but I could not wait!
What are you carving this year? I see that pumpkin price has been dropped, so I might get another one!
So Today I wanted to share how I made this Pokemon jack-o-lantern!
My this year's design is Flareon and Vulpix, they are both Fire Pokemon and I also carved Gengar as jack-o-lantern because he is ghost Pokemon!
I used some cool tricks for the light, so I hope this blog might be helpful when you make your own for this year.

Tip #1 : buy flat faced pumpkin!
It may be sound strange but it is so much easier to carve and write design on it.

Tip #2 : Draw a design with water pen
You can easily wipe it of with wet paper towel after you are done carving

Tip 3 : Cut the top with 60 degree angle

Tip 4 : Made the pumpkin as thin as possible.
So the light can see through it.The lighting contrast will make the difference in the end.

Do regular carving steps

#Tip 5 : Put long toothpicks to hold light
when you flash the light from the top, the light will come through evenly so your design look better!
I love using this trick because it does not cause any fire and lights are pretty powerful so your jack-o-lantern look so much better than using cancel inside.
