Shalban Vihara
Among the ancient civilizations of Bangladesh, one of the most important examples of ancient civilization is the Shalban Vihara. In this place , archaeological patterns of 7th-12th century were found.
Construction:
It is believed that King Bhava Dava built this Buddhist monastery in the first half of the eight century from the end of the seventh century.
Archaeological excavation:
With the archaeological excavation, eight copper-plate copies of about 400 gold and silver coins, numerous burns of terracotta or terracotta, seal, bury and statues of the statue were found from the ruins of the monastery. The huge collection of material from this monastery is displayed in the Mainamati Museum.
