Gender and Development: A relevant matter

Hello from my cute badge😃 It was indeed a nice experience attending a very important and relevant training/seminar in my career as a guidance advocate. The sole goal of the training is to scatter awareness of the different gender issues affecting our society and to continue pursuing women empowerment. For me, this kind of program helps a lot of women in knowing their worth as a person, as an individual and most importantly as an integral part for sustainable development.

I was with my co-teacher Mrs. Alondres, the guidance advocate of Senior high school. We are the representative for our school to join the said training.

WHY GAD? - This topic was comprehensively discussed by the chairperson of the Philippine Commission on Women herself, Dr. Bucoy. Our speaker was very eloquent and knowledgable on this matter as she is already an expert about the laws and mandates regarding women empowerment and Gender Development.

This training was conducted for all the guidance advocates in the division of lapu-lapu city. All the districts (from district 1 to 10) actively partcipated in the said training.
I must say it was a very informative and a fun-filled learning experience together with other participants.
