10 things I love about Steemit

Hi to you, on the other side of the screen. :) Firstly, I hope you're having a wonderful beginning of the week!

I was tagged by maverickinvictus@maverickinvictus to write 10 things I love about Steemit, which is what I'm doing today. I've been on this amazing platform for about a month and a half. I can say that it feels like I've always been a part of this community, as it feels like home. It brings me so much joy to be able to write and read stories, engaging with incredible people.

What are the 10 things I love about Steemit?

1 - Supportive community

I've met, here, the kindest people that just want to do good. Everyone wants to help each other and be supportive. I can't stop smiling when I read your lovely comments and feedback. It was overwhelming to me to receive such a positive reaction, in an amazing way.

2 - Engagement

I get to engage with incredibly talented people , being inspired by them. There're many great texts that inspire me to keep going and improve myself. I really enjoy reading other people's stories and discovering different cultures, that I wouldn't know of otherwise. Reading different opinions gives me another perspective over my own thoughts. It makes me a better and more understanding person! Engaging with you all makes me happy :)

3 - Write about what I love

I can write about my feelings, passions and hobbies. I could do the same in any other blog platform, but I feel like in Steemit, people are more open to it. The content gets to different people quicker and easier, than in other blog platforms, where no one will know of your page, unless you publish in many different places. This is why I like the community built in Steemit, in which you can easily find new blog pages.

4 - I can be myself

I found a home in Steemit - a place where I can be myself and write my thoughts without being afraid of getting judged or mislead. I mentioned before, everyone is really understanding and open to different opinions.

5 - Multi-cultural

I love how many cultures can be found in this platform. From west to east, north to south, everyone is equal and each one has something to offer. Steemit celebrates diversity, love and creativity, and that's amazing. It makes it such an unique place to be.

6 - Creativity Freedom

Content creators are able to express themselves in so many different ways - through stories, poems, songs, photography, video, artworks,... The possibilities are endless. There's a space for any niche, and there're no limitations when it comes to being creative.

7 - Minnow Support

Almost any beginning in life is tough - either mastering a subject, getting a new job career, starting a new social network profile or blog. I knew starting a blog in this platform would be hard, but I didn't imagine how supportive this community would be, when it comes to newbies. There're many initiatives and curators, like the #minnowsupport, or #newbieresteemday, that praise the new content creators and take time to look for great newbies out there.

If you're a newbie, I'd 100% recommend using their hashtags in your posts, as well as joining different Discord channels (NewbieResteemDay, The Steem Experience,...)

8 - Great Content

There're many different and interesting subjects you can read about. So many creators on this platform are incredibly talented and, as I mentioned before, great content is appreciated.

9 - Steemit is Therapeutic

leeart@leeart mentioned this before, and I agree 100%. Writing my feelings and learnings help me to overcome my own insecurities - I become less 'afraid' of being myself and less introverted. I always enjoyed writing, so I can enjoy it while making friends and good memories.

10 - It opens doors to new blockchain projects

Recently, I've been noticing many new projects using the blockchain. The idea of decentralised platforms like Steemit is becoming more popular and that's awesome!

In Mave's challenge, he mentioned about taking note of how long it took to write the post. I didn't write it all in one go, so I took note of the different times I spent working on it. It took me about 1 hour to write the whole post, but it only took me 10 minutes to write the 10 sub-titles/bulletpoints.

What are the things you love about Steemit? Would love to know your opinion! :)
