Caribbean
One of the most colorful and warm cities you'll find in the caribbean
Situated on the southern side of the caribbean sea, Curaçao(12° 7' N, 68° 55' W) is only 40 miles separated from Venezuela(South Amerika). The island covers an area of 144 square miles, it's 38 miles long and 2,5 to 5,5 miles wide and is made out of 35% Coral stone/ 65% volcanic rock, this makes the island very rocky and not so suitable for farming, but local farmers still produce enough food for 10% of the population which still is very impressive despite having a bad soil. We are a multicultural island with approximately 60-80 nationalities/beliefs that all live together in harmony. Also curaçao has a very warm and beautiful culture that comes along with it's unique stewed dishes full of the caribbean flavor and love.
Beaches, landscapes and adventures
So, as I've already said the island is VERY rocky and has a lot of sharp edges, but this doesn't stop the island from having a couple of the worlds most diverse and beautiful beaches! Most of the beaches you'll find on the island remain on the South coast of the island because the North coast is simply to rough to form beautiful beaches. There are approximately 40 beaches on the island, so for every mile on the South coast you'll find a new beach waiting there for you, yes 40 of them! I personally enjoy being at the North shore more because I feel more connected with nature when i'm there and this gives me the real 'island life' feel. The north shore is mostly rocky and consists mainly out of dirt roads, so you can get lost very quickly. Going on a trip to Curaçao and want to go to the North shore? Send me a message of comment on this post, I would love to help you out! There are so many adventures to do on this island, I know it's a small island, but if you search well and show the locals that you're only into commercialized adventures you'll have a BLAST. The top 3 activities or 'must dos' on this island are definitely 1. Klein Curaçao trip, 2. Christoffel Hill climbing 3. North shore buggy tours. There are tons of more activities to do on this island, but these 3 are the once that you have to scrape of the list once you're there!
The part we've all been waiting for:

To finish this artilcle I would like to ask everyone to let me know what you think about this post, there's still a lot more to come and i'll be sharing a lot more of my island once I get a good grip of this steemin' community!
Thanks you!!
P.S: I accept any advice on doing these articles, so just speak up your mind and i'll take it all as lessons to become a good steemer!
