Formed on 16 September 1963 by Malaya (currently known as Peninsular Malaysia), North Borneo (after formation of Malaysia named as Sabah), Sarawak, Singapore (separated on 1965) and Brunei (withdrew on the final agreement on July 1963).

Presently, Malaysia consists of 13 States and 3 Federal territories. As Sabah and Sarawak was demoted to state level instead of the initial country status, they combined with 11 states from Peninsular Malaysia. The list of states in Malaysia are as follows :

1.Perlis
2.Kedah
3.Pulau Pinang (Penang)
4.Perak
5.Selangor
6.Negeri Sembilan
7.Melaka (Malacca)
8.Johor
9.Pahang
10.Terengganu
11.Kelantan
12.Sarawak
13.Sabah

There are also three federal territories in Malaysia. Two of them are located at Peninsular Malaysia and the other one is at Borneo. The list are as follows

A.Kuala Lumpur (also the Capital City of Malaysia)
B.Labuan
C.Putrajaya

Bahasa Malaysia (Malay Language) is the official language whereas English will be its secondary language. According to the constitution of Malaysia, Islam is the official religion. The climate of Malaysia is equatorial which it will experience of the average rainfall at 250 cm and average temperature at 27°C each year.

Race demography in Malaysia is multicultural and diversity. In Peninsular, there are three main race namely Malay, Chinese and India also others such as Eurasian, Orang Asli(Indigenous People) and few others. While in East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak), there are numerous tribes and races which too many to list down here.

In conclusion, Malaysia has more to offer in term economic, tourism and culture. In my future post, I will post some places that I have been in the country.
