Thoughts...

As we celebrate the Araw ng Kasarinlan, we can expect official ceremonies happening all over the archipelago. Of course, government officials will be there front and center to "lead" the celebration, make speeches, do the parades, and other stuff traditionally done during this occasion. It would be nice if those leading were there to uplift, to inspire and to motivate us to be the best version of us as a people. Not those seeking high government office just to do the opposite and harm the country more than help us become a great nation. Cheesy, yes, but still worth aspiring to become. After all, we will all go down with a sinking ship if the captain is incapable, incompetent, corrupt and any a host of other adjectives you may already have on your mind.

Official Holiday

As expected, it's a holiday. Government offices, schools, as well as private businesses are closed and mandated to give benefits. Specifically, double pay for the first eight hours, if you do decide to work today. As for me, going online might be a good way to decompress and just chill at home.

With the negative stuff happening to Hive recently, I'm glad to see that dCrops is still alive. We can still get holding rewards (with a lower APY at 6.46%), lucky wheel rewards, and season rewards from playing the game. I just collected my reward chest from the quests, which gave me some good items. I'm happy that we still have this game on Hive.

Finally

I find it interesting to see that the price of Bitcoin is now back to the 60K levels and my feeds show doomsday Bitcoin, or at least extreme bearish scenarios. During these times, I find comfort in history where it always finds a strong, stable support level, bounce back, and reach all time highs. Systemic structural failures, liquidity traps and massive selling scenarios simply do not happen all at once that the whole ecosystem do collapse. The base layer remains immutable, there's layer 2 scaling and developers have become more clever in using Satoshis where data can be embedded with Bitcoin NFTs, meme coins and utility tokens, which trigger miner fee revenue, but are still way too expensive for my taste.

Bitcoin is as popular now, more than ever. For me (dyor), this is a no brainer. Bitcoin is here to stay, so... buy the dip, ONLY if you have extra funds, or if you really know what you are getting yourself into. Remember to do your own research. It might save you your hard earned moolah in the long run.

And, that's it for today.

Love and peace,
