Patience and organization
The other day I started watching One Piece for the first time. And to be honest, I think I'm going to have to come up with a strategy for watching it. It's a really long series, and if I try to watch it without any plan, I'll probably never finish it.
Interestingly, I realized I'm doing something similar with the Bible. It's also a long read, and I've had to find my own pace. For example, reading Genesis took me several days. Not because it's difficult to read, but because I need to understand what I'm reading. Each story is different, with different characters, different lessons, and a lot of context. When a story ends, I prefer to stop there and let everything settle before starting the next one.
I guess I'm learning the same lesson with both One Piece and the Bible: not everything has to be consumed quickly. Some things are enjoyed more when you give them time, when you progress little by little and allow each part to have space to stay with you before moving on to the next.
El otro día empecé a ver One Piece por primera vez. Y siendo sincera, creo que voy a tener que crear una estrategia para verla. Es una serie larguísima y si intento verla sin organización probablemente nunca llegue al final.
Curiosamente, me di cuenta de que estoy haciendo algo parecido con la Biblia. También es una lectura extensa y he tenido que encontrar mi propio ritmo. Por ejemplo, leer Génesis me tomó varios días. No porque sea difícil de leer, sino porque necesito entender lo que estoy leyendo. Cada historia es diferente, tiene personajes distintos, lecciones distintas y mucho contexto. Cuando una historia termina, prefiero detenerme ahí y dejar que todo se asiente antes de comenzar la siguiente.
Supongo que tanto con One Piece como con la Biblia estoy aprendiendo la misma lección: no todo tiene que consumirse rápido. Algunas cosas se disfrutan más cuando les das tiempo, cuando avanzas poco a poco y permites que cada parte tenga espacio para quedarse contigo antes de pasar a la siguiente.
