First time sparring
Another boxing class, and it feels more and more real each time. Today I worked on my jab and cross using 1-kilo dumbbells and resistance bands, focusing on technique and speed. It's incredible how something so basic can become so demanding when you do it right.
Afterwards, we did some sparring, and yes, it's scary at first. That feeling of being in front of someone who's also going to hit you isn't so easy to ignore. But after the first punch, everything changes. The fear subsides, you loosen up, and you start to enjoy it.
The strangest thing is that, when it's over, even though you're exhausted, you kind of miss that feeling. It's weird, but it also feels liberating.
