Merry Christmas...This Year's Gift Was Different!
Before I dive into the post I wanted to write this evening...
Merry Christmas to everyone who is celebrating and Happy Holidays to everyone else!
I'm so grateful for every single one of you that I've engaged with over the past year. It's been a crazy 12 months, but as the year comes to a close...Gratitude is on my mind!
And as it's the holiday season...I thought I'd share with you a special 'Christmas' gift I was able to share with my son earlier today...
So, a little backstory!
When I 'give gifts' for the holidays, it's usually something unique...For example, over the past few years I've been sending 'Kiva' gifts to my family...A small $25 donation they can gift to entrepreneurs around the world.
It's something different, and being the entrepreneur that I am, I want to not only encourage the gift giving of Kiva but also spur something inside of the receiver...To look at starting a business of their own...
Hey, we can dream right...I truly believe entrepreneurship can fix a lot of the problems in this world!
So fast forward to this year's Christmas and I gave my kid a choice...
I gave him a choice.
"I know we're thousands of miles apart so I'll have to send you a gift...You have a choice. I'll send you cash, or I'll send you some crypto!"
My oldest son is 19, so he 'gets' crypto. He understands it and without waiting a second...He said...
CRYPTO PLEASE!
I'm a very proud Papa tonight 😀
I've been trying to drag him to Hive for months now, maybe this will be the final step needed to onboard him LOL
He's new to crypto and needed a wallet, so I sent him to ShakePay, a Canadian based crypto app and got him signed up...
And away we go.....
So cool that in 2020 the gift that the young ones want is...Crypto!
And it's not just the kids either...
My good buddy 
She and I are friends on Facebook, so she sent me a message and asked if I could buy some Hive for Eric and she would send me the cash for it.
(Eric is working on her to bring her to Hive too LOL)
In came the transfer and bang!
2020....
As crazy as it's been, we're seeing how more people are willing to dive in, give the gift of crypto and start becoming much more interested in what so many of us have been building here for years....
So with that...Hope you all have a fantastic holiday! And thank you so much for adding to my journey here on the blockchain this year.
P.S. Rumor has it, there are Christmas gifts for people that comment on this post....Shhhh, it's a secret!
