Birth Pains
Look...Things happen on earth all the time.
Good things. Bad things. Tragic things.
So please note, that this is just my observations, and take them with a grain of salt. But events of the past few weeks, has stirred something in me. And of course, I view everything through biblical lenses...
Take a look at a few chapters in the Gospels.
Matthew 24
Luke 21
Mark 13
These are the prophetic chapters in the synoptic gospels. I have spent a lot of time in them over the years because my church is famous for loving the prophecies in Scripture.
And while a lot of these prophecies have come there are many more that are yet to appear. And you see things like wars, rumors of wars, pestilences, famines....
Lots of ugly stuff that is nothing new here on planet earth.
But play close attention to what Christ says in verse 8 of Matthew 24...
All these are beginning of sorrows...
Meaning there's much more to come. And in some translations, that verse is actually translated to 'birth pains'...Let's dig into this for a second:
What happens when a woman goes into labor...Usually the contractions (or birth pains) are slow and spaced out. But when the baby is ready to be delivered, the pain is rapid and follows closely from contraction to contraction.
This is the tell tale sign for me, and many in bible prophecy circles that we are getting close to the end. And yeah, a lot of people will say...There's always been wars and natural disasters.
Yes, that's true...But after what I have witnesses these past few weeks, I'm opening up my bible that much more tonight.
Check this out:
I arrived in Winnipeg Manitoba a few nights ago. On the way out here for work, there was a bunch of tornadoes that touched down all across the Canadian prairies. A few were nasty, but the majority of them didn't do any kind of damage.
This isn't rare per se in this part of the world especially during the summer months but this year has seemed different.
Back to the picture above, that little green dot is where an F1 tornado touched down in Winnipeg a few nights ago....I was staying in a hotel about 1 km away from it lol
I shared some of the clips I took on and let me tell you, it was some of the craziest weather I had every experienced.
And that's not the end of it...
This is a pic that was taken around the town that my kids are spending their summer holiday in. Yeah, two funnel clouds...Just dancing across the sky.
So here's my point...While it's not rare for tornadoes and funnel clouds to pop up here, this has been going on for almost 2 weeks now.
Every day, reports of tornadoes, funnel clouds, flooding, storms...This is what is rare. Not that they are happening, natural disasters are nothing new. but the fact that it's been multiple reports for every day over the past 2 weeks.
This isn't normal.
And yeah, it's quick to dismiss this, but remember...I view everything through biblical lenses. So for me, it means to pray harder. Read more bible. And proclaim His name to the world.
Is Jesus coming back tomorrow? Only God knows...I just know He's coming. And I pray that my family and I are ready. And that you are as well...
