Learning To Love

Does anyone's heart start life, knowing how to love? my belief is that love is first formed in the heart out of necessity. When we are young we need something to cling to, something to love, so we become obsessed with a blanket or a bear. The whole time missing the love that's right in front of us. Our mothers are there to feed us and clean us. Is this not love? Of course, it is to the mother but to the child maybe not. Love is fearing for the well being of someone when they are away, while at the same time being overjoyed at the sight of them being well when they are around. Yes, our hearts start loving at an early age but they certainly do not master it until later in life. Hearts become callous after the very first bit of damage and so we build them up for the next bout with love and if damaged again they become harder.
