or prick it open like a rubber balloon?
You stand there at his door
clenched knuckles hanging (mid-air)
stalling from knocking while
you chew around your mouth

since a week.
But you knock eventually
(and of course) he's home
so he opens.
You greet him with weird words
(if they do count as words)
borrow copper wire,
(or glue, whatever) and leave,
as something shrivels
down
