Laurel or Yanny? Try Both.

The big competition on the Internet that has wen’t viral on every social media site there is, is the recorded playing of a robot saying either, “Yanny or Laurel”. Everyone hears something different after listening to the recording, so people are arguing 100% that they hear whichever word they have chosen out of the two.

When I listened to the test, on two different links, both times I heard, “Yanny”. This is because it is a recorded playing of a robot saying BOTH words at the same time. Which ever your mind subconsciously wants to hear, or that you are thinking about when you listen; is what you are going to hear. 

I hate to be a buzz kill, but I called that it was a altered recording before researching online and figuring out exactly what it was. Now, it makes sense to everyone and they can stop getting into “throat-cutting” arguments in my news feed! Thank you and have a nice “Laurel/Yanny” freaking day!
