Ring Hop Ceremony

My brother's ring hop ceremony happened on May 13, 2023. I also wrote a blog on his pinning ceremony here a few months back. I just want to share, if not my own experience, then my family's comparable journey to success here in Hive. I merely finished a two-year associate's degree program. How I wish I could pursue a bachelor's degree, which is not impossible, but I opted to postpone mine and push my brother's goal to finish college instead. Responsible sister?, Yes, perhaps, but the major reason is not because I am the eldest, but because his accomplishments and goals are also part of mine.

I want him to succeed. I don't want him to go through what I did when I was in college. I wanted him to get through and get a better job. If I'm happy, my parents were the happiest. My mother accompanied him as his escort that day. I was meant to accompany him, but owing to my job schedule, I was unable to do so. So I asked my brother to swap me with mom, and to my amazement, my mother was overjoyed! My joy is uncontrollable as I prepare them for the event although we were having trouble finding a tuxedo that would fit my brother because he is a larger size at first but with the help of my cousin and her father which is my uncle who left his suits at home, we were able to use it which fits perfectly to my brother's size. See? We can always find a way!

My only wish for my brother is his success and happiness. I will do everything I can to push you forward to achieve your dreams in life bro. Whenever you feel down, always remember what you've been through. Congratulations to you, my family's future Computer technician!
