This is an old friend of mine who I've been out of touch with for years now. I enjoyed having Nick from South Africa living on our student flat sofa for how ever long it was. A strange guy in some ways but the good kind of strange. His creative mind inspired me and he always had a unique way of expressing things. The drawings he produced intrigued me with their dark and sinister nature and I felt they often reflected some kind of chaos in his mind or life. Very talented with a pencil or piece of charcoal. Cool hair too.

The struggles he'd been through and was going through at the time were apparent through both his work and stories about his life. Circumstances in his life meant he didn't finish university while we were there together but I believe he returned. His company was always good and I hope we'll get to hang out again at some point.
