Hello, Hola, Hallo, こんにちは Steemit!
Hello my fellow Steemians! I've already posted some things, and I actually joined about two months ago, but I never made a self-introduction post :( Here I am to remedy that!
I'm a professional English teacher from San Diego currently working through italki.com, a language exchange (free) and freelance language teaching site (referral link at no charge to you: https://www.italki.com?ref=1507633x). I'm writing a potentially revolutionary book on easily learning prepositions, and I have several English learning products in the works, as well as a YouTube/DTube channel for teaching English that I hope to launch soon.
As you can tell from the title, I like languages. I speak Spanish at a conversationally fluent level, as well as a bit of German and some basic Japanese, but I plan on being fluent in 6 languages aside from English (Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Mandarin, and Russian), with more possibilities if I ever finish those :p
I also like writing in almost any form - poetry, philosophical essays, stories. I have a degree in Philosophy and have been studying the world's spiritual traditions on and off since 9th grade (currently 28). I have a particular interest in Buddhism, as well as Eastern philosophy in general. I like to think about things like ethics, the nature of reality, and the nature of the self for fun. Politically, I lean heavily in the direction of voluntaryism, but I also have a lot of ideas that many might consider far left. I reconcile this through the ability of technology to liberate humanity (check out https://www.thevenusproject.com/ for an idea of what I mean). Nowhere else to put this, so I'll put it here: I also like (trying) to play the guitar, practicing judo, and watching anime :p
Of course, I wouldn't be here if I didn't like cryptocurrency :D I think we're at the dawn of a new age that will completely change the world for the better. I look forward to meeting all of you!
