VIBES Web3 Music Competition Week 11 - "She's Only Sleeping" (Original Song)

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Vibes Community. My name is Jasper, and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town, South Africa! Welcome to Week 11 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition!

Today I would like to sing you an original song I have written called “She’s Only Sleeping”. This one is quite sad, just so you're warned!

In my mind, it is a song about a parent comforting a grieving child. Even in my own mind it has sometimes been a beloved pet that has passed away, while at other times it has been a grandmother. I think it is good that I leave that ambiguous and let each person who hears it decide for themselves. For many older people it could be about their own mother I suppose!
