Hello everybody on Hive and especially the Hive Open Mic Community! My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you Cape Town in South Africa!

Welcome to Week 173 of the Hive Open Mic Challenge. The theme for this week is Memories. I’m going to do the totally obvious thing and do a song literally called “Memories” by Maroon 5! Hahaha! It has a really nice chord structure and sentiment, and is the kind of song that lends itself to simple guitar covers!

Here is a version of me playing the same song, but on a valiha, which is a traditional bamboo zither instrument from the East African islands (like Madagascar and the Comores!)

Bienvenidos a la semana 173 del Hive Open Mic Challenge. El tema de esta semana es Recuerdos. ¡Voy a hacer lo totalmente obvio y hacer una canción llamada literalmente "Memories" de Maroon 5! ¡Jajaja! Tiene una estructura de acordes y un sentimiento realmente agradables, ¡y es el tipo de canción que se presta a simples versiones de guitarra!
