Sheep keeping
Almost one year on from sheep keeping...
This is the prettiest of my ewes, but she was the naughtiest to try and catch. Preferring to clear 4ft hurdles, charge through your legs or leap pass you like a deer rather than be handled or herded. Almost one year on, thankfully she has settled and allows me to handle her with far more ease and less stress for her. In fact all the girls are great!
Totally loving the breed and today they stood calmly as a friends young daughter and her dad came into the pen to say hello. Ruddy proud of my girls!!! Been well worth the time working with their native minds so that they are less skittish.
They have a lovely tup joining them in a few months and next week, I'm very excited to announce that I will be receiving a very special handmade item made by @wildwoolshepherdess using their moorit wool. Watch this space!!
How is everyone else getting on with their sheepies and animals? :)
