Rainy Start Of August

It is evidently the start of the rainy season here in the Philippines. Just a few days ago, some parts of our country were deeply affected by Typhoon Carina. I've seen some houses destroyed caused by the typhoon; rain water went as high as the second floor of houses. Thankfully, the place where im staying wasn't that much affected. But it still rained heavily.



Today is another rainy day at the office. Fortunately, I already arrived at the office when the rain started pouring. As soon as I logged in my attendance, I made myself a cup of freshly brewed coffee and enjoy the rain by the window.

Since its the start of a new month, i thought of creating some resolutions for the month of August. The main resolution for me is to wake up at least one hour earlier than usual so i wont be late going to work and have more time to prepare for the day. I would like to incorporate a 15 min affirmation/ mantra session first thing in the morning to set the tone of my day.

Im also expecting to start my gym membership this month and still contemplating whether i'll go to the gym before or after work. Either way, another resolution of mine is to have a strong discipline to show up at least four times a week. No more excuses.

During lunch, the rain temporarily stopped so we decided to eat outside the office. Our new manager treated us some fried chicken and cheese sticks.


However, by the time we finished eating, the rain started pouring again so we all got a little bit soaked in the rain.


I'm just glad that its Friday and weekend is just around the corner. I hope everyone is safe and dry during this rainy season.
