Kehena Nights - poem
Kehena Nights
I pray to become content in boring routine
let days fly past while my life turns to stone
let the world’s troubles wash over me
Drown out all sorrows with TV
I dreamt I got the real settlement check
Hey hon now our life is set
But woke up feeling only regret
Perhaps time for a new accident
Now I’m dreaming of warm Kehena nights
Wicked tones dissolve into lava flows
While cetaceans dance in the harbour
And bid us sorrowful farewell
