Hog Too Close!
We have feral hogs passing through our property all the time. Spotted sometimes, mostly I just find tracks and evidence of them rooting around, especially after a rain.
May have to fence off the area immediately around my house after a hog decided to explore right at my front door! I heard him and saw a shadowy figure briefly as I peeked out the window.
This morning I discovered the buried insulators along my brick path were dislodged. (see photo) This was about 2 feet from my front porch. Too close for my comfort.
Feral hogs can be good eating — some folks disagree but we've processed and happily consumed a few with no issues. But I'd rather they not come knocking at my door in the middle of the night.
