I know it has been a little while since I last updated you all about the happenings in my workplace or even dished out content on my blog. My sincerest apology to you all cause I have been very preoccupied with work at the salon and coupled with the fact that I now work closely with my boss.

OH!!!!!

I forgot to tell you all, I recently got promoted in my workplace due to my diligence and now I get to work closely with the owner of the place. I know it sounds little but for me, it's a huge step in getting my very own salon someday, which I have to work really hard towards.

How the pedicure day came about

Yesterday, I got a call that I would have to come to work cause there was a huge turn-up in terms of the number of people wanting pedicures. At first, I thought yesterday would be a very peaceful and relaxing day since it was a public holiday, due to the fact that my country's independence fell on a Saturday, so it was only customary for us to observe it on a Monday the first working day of the week.

When I got the call, I must be frank with you all I was really annoyed and pissed too cause why would they just ruin my lovely public holiday when I already made plans to watch Netflix and just chill. But when I remember that I am actually still an apprentice training to become an expert someday, so I have to oblige to the call.

When I got to the salon, lo and behold there was a massive queue of people wanting to go into the salon, some were already seated while others were waiting for their turn. With my dramatic entrance, I could see the delight on the face of my boss, it was like

What struck me the most was how 75% of the customers were requesting a pedicure, which on our regular working days, it doesn't happen. When I saw this, I knew I have to tell my hive community members about it.

So in this post, I will talk about the items I made use of while giving out a pedicure to the customers.

FOOT SOAP

The first on my list is foot soap. From the name, its purpose can be easily denoted.
It is used for the foot during pedicure for cleaning. This particular brand has different flavors but I love this flavor(peachy).

CUTICLE PIN

I always find this item funny because of its look and the name. LOL!!!!!!
It used to remove cuticles around your toes

FILE

Please do not mistake it for the file found on the computer or document. It is used for shaping your toenails, inorder to give them that even shape and attractive look.

CUTICLE SOFTENER

It is applied to your toenails to soften your cuticles for easy removal. The cuticle softener is also added to the warm water in your pedicure boot.

SEA SALT

Add your warm water to your pedicure bolt and allow it to dissolve. It contains vitamins A, C, and E. There are different flavors but these are menthols.

FOOT SOAK

It helps to relax and smoothen weary feet

JODA PEDICURE CREAM

Apply on the sore of your feet

BLADE AND BLADE HOLDER

This is used to scalp out the hard part of the sore of your foot, making it soft just like a baby's own.

I don't really know the name but it looks like a grater. Well, it is used to smoothen after you have used the blade on the sore of your foot.

Just as it looks like, it is used to separate your toes to enable you to pick out the cuticle and file your toenails.

FOOT BRUSH

FOOT SCRUB

After using the tool that looks like a grater to smoothen the sore of your foot, the next is your foot scrub. You apply it and then massage gently

FOOT CREAM

PEDICURE BOLT

Consists of hot and cold, vibration and bubbling. If you don't have a pedicure bolt, you can improvise with a basin that can contain feet.

So in a nutshell, these were the items I used for the pedicure and I was really glad I could put a smile on the customers.
