Be like Marty

One of my dogs has allergies so he doesn't get a variety of treats. His parents use his food as treats, which means he eats the same food all of the time. When I walk him, I bring a bag of said food to give him treats, and even though he eats that stuff every day, when I pull out that bag, his face lights up, his eyes get bright, and he starts drooling. He acts as though it is the first time he has gotten a treat, and the first time he has gotten these treats.

Another lesson I am reminded of with my dogs:

Be happy and grateful everyday and love who and what you love with the same appreciation and awe you did from that first day...because every day is the first day of the rest of your life.

Be like Marty and let your eyes light up and your heart expand whenever you lay eyes on the one you love.
