Uncle's Hopeless Remarks.

After getting back to the bank, John found the manager had all the paperwork ready, and he just had to sign on two papers to become a real American, indebted and owned by the bank. He held the pen tightly, staring down at the legal text before scribbling his signature on the dotted lines to finalize the purchase.

After getting out of the bank, John found their old gang members named Uncle, and after hugged each other, Uncle wanted to tag along, mentioning he was sick with lumbago, which would cause a slow and painful death. The old man looked as haggard as ever, using his usual medical complaints to garner immediate sympathy.

At first John didn't want to take him along, but hearing about his sickness, John became soft and permitted Uncle to ride along, and we had to return to Beecher's Hope.

And on the way when uncle heard about John buying this land, all he said was hopeless words. So John had to spill it out that uncle was lucky John was showing it to him, cutting off the old man's constant complaining with a sharp reminder that he was getting a free place to stay.

After reaching the land, uncle started talking worse seeing the condition and even asked if John was a fool to buy this land. But John had to say he was doing this for his lady, while uncle just went inside the small hut to take a nap.

While uncle was resting inside the hut, John started cleaning the place around, mostly by carrying stones and pebbles out of the land. He had to lift the heavy rocks little by little, hauling them over to the perimeter edge to clear space for future farming and building projects.

It became night real fast, for Uncle was seen drinking something, and then it was John resting around the campfire under the beautiful moonlit night. The crackling flames provided the only warmth on the dark plains, casting long shadows across the empty, undeveloped plot of land that John now owned.

At the next morning, John was found making fences around his land, and then I had to get to uncle to start a new mission, but I found him still taking resting inside the hut.

John kicked him up as the old man didn't want to get up. And then uncle said he heard about Charles Smith being alive and doing something around Saint Denis. And that's where they were heading next, but not on horsebacks; they were taking a train ride, like real gentlemen.
