What does it mean to be an ex?

What does it mean to be an ex? When we hear the word “ex,” we immediately think about whether we were a good partner, a good friend to someone, or a good colleague.

When a relationship of any kind comes to an end, it may have a happy ending, or maybe not. For me, it has been a rollercoaster ride in my interpersonal relationships because there have been people who, for no apparent reason, walk away without saying anything, and certainly in a way that leaves you wondering what you did wrong, but perhaps the culprit is not you but the other person who did not know how to manage their emotions.

When you try to do things right, but in the end they turn out badly, you can't help but feel that the word “ex” has a negative connotation. How can you avoid that?

To the exes in my life, I say that you were important at the time, but if you are no longer in my life today, it is because you generally decided not to be there anymore because you didn't think I was good enough for you at the time... and I just say... have a good life.

For me, you were a learning experience, and I thank you for the good and the bad. We could say that past experiences help us grow and mature, and that's what everyone wants, right? Do you think that if you improve as a person, you won't have so many exes... of any kind, in your life? Because I'll tell you, I have a few stories to tell, and I know I've made mistakes, and the next person who comes into my life, I'll show them the best version of myself...

Would you do the same?

Life is full of exes, ex-boyfriends or girlfriends, ex-colleagues, ex-friends, etc., but if you manage to give your life purpose, perhaps the number of toxic exes will decrease and you will have a more enjoyable life.

I try to relax and listen to music at this moment and think about the good times in my past, which have been quite a few, but perhaps I am obsessed with looking for more, and in that search, I have also had bad times, and then everything gets complicated.

The truth is, life is measured, at least for me, by the quality of the people you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with good people, it is very likely that your life will have a precious and very high value, because being genuine is priceless, as is peace, and being able to count on good people is the best thing.
