Soemingyi Pagoda

Let me tell you about some interesting in Bagan. Back then, pagoda hunting was a must do here, as there are 1000 pagodas in Bagan to be explored. Almost everyone doing that while there.

However, we came across a random pagoda on our way. The pagodas here resembled large, majestic cluster houses, with large courtyards and tall structures. We saw a crew holding professional cameras, as if covering an event.

I thought it is a television station, but it turn out to be a photographer taking prewedding photos with a complete setup. There is a couple, madly in love about to take intimate photos as a sign that they were about to get married or had previously been married. Things I hadn't done before cause insecure about my face and body is not good.

They stay here for quite some time, and I even asking about it when a souvenir seller came across them. They said this pagoda is a popular spot for pre wedding shoots. The reason is because of its beautiful shape and, if you were lucky, you can see the sunrise or sunset. Even the good lighting and the colorful bricks make an attractive photo backdrop.

But it's true, even when we were there, we took many photos, even though the temple isn't perfectly intact. Some of the facades are crumbling, half the walls are missing, and even small shrines remain inside.

Perhaps that's what makes it interesting, the roofless and ruin temple, or is this temple's style different? There's not much information about this temple as it's not one of the more story temples in Bagan. But if you're bored with other temples, this is a good option.

You can also find inexpensive souvenirs here. Find this woman and get an original painting of Bagan using soil and sand. The prices are even much cheaper than at Ananda Temple, more than half the price. There's a wide selection, making it a great souvenir to share with your closest friends.
