Let's learn Spanish 00 - Introduction

Hello, guys!

It's been a while since I have posted anything here. Today, I am going to start next topic that I want to write about. I am currently in Mexico and my first language is Russian, my 2nd language is Ukrainian, because I am from Ukraine and English is my 3rd language. My English level is B2 (upper-intermediate). Because I spend most of my time in Mexico for the past three years I have decided that I have to pull myself together and get that done - learn at least some Spanish 👩🏻‍💻📚🏜

I am going to write posts like lessons which are basically my notes for learning Spanish and I want to share them with the community. You are welcome to join me in this journey. I can add some comments in Russian in brackets...

            ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Here we go ☺️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From my experience learning English the things which you can't avoid when you deal with foreign language are words, pronunciation and how to read. But words are crucial 🙂

1️⃣Let's learn some Spanish alphabet:
Aa (ah) Bb (beh) Cc (seh) Dd (deh) Ee (eh) Ff (eh-feh) Gg (Heh)

2️⃣Learn a few words:
a woman = una mujer, la mujer
a boy = un niño, el nino
a girl = una niña, la nina
a man = un hombre, el hombre
a book = un libro /leebrvroh/, el libro
a board = un tablero /tah-bvlah/, el tablero
a jacket = una chaqueta /chok-keh-tah/, la chaqueta
a laptop = una computadora portátil /kohm-poo-tah-doh-rah pohr-tah-teel/, la computadora portátil
big = grande
old = mayor /mah-yohr/
older than = mayor que /mah-yohr keh/
young = pequeño (male) /peh-keh-nyoh/, pequeña (female)
younger than = mas pequeno que, mas pequena que
but = mas
that, than = que

Some Grammar:
the (male) = el (singular), los (plural)
the (female) = la (singular), las (plural)
adjectives
=> female + '-a' at the end, e.g. young = pequena
=> male + '-o' at the end, e.g. young = pequeno
infinitives end in '-ar', '-er', '-ir'

👩‍🏫Let's sum up - today we've learned:
✅7 Spanish letters
✅15 Spanish words
