A Rushed Gown I made for myself with Sunray Material (Weekly Task)
Hello needleworkers
It's a new week and I'm so excited to be here on a Monday to share a post with you .
Lest i forget Happy Easter to you all , i hope that this season is treating you well
Well, i want to share with you today the steps i used in making this rushed gown for myself as a weekly task at work .
This has been one of the weekly tasks I've been waiting for because the style is so nice and is good as a picnic wear and i used it for my schools picnic
Our weekly tasks are meant to me submitted on Fridays for assessment but due to my lack of money to get materials i delayed and started work on Thursday but at least i was able to complete and submit on time but couldn't take complete pictures as usual
So I'll take a quick summary on the steps i used in making this gown
Firstly i marked my norma gown measurement on the gown ranging from my chest line, underbust, half length and my hips line and then to get the rushed slash and spread lines
- I went up from my waist line (2 half) inches
- i went in from my waist line by (3)inches
- I went down my 6 inches
-I picked up my marker and connected the dots together to create the circle - From the lower part of the circle, i made one each til it got to the edge of the cloth and had a total of 6 lines and drew it till the length of the gown
After that i cut out the lines and stopped at the circle point and the attached another paper to complete where i had cut out, when i got the extension, i placed the cut out papers on the extension and separated them with 1 and a half inch each, after which i used my pin to attach them to the extended papers and then i placed it on my material and cut out front back of the dress
I joined both sides of the dress and did the necessary turning with a facing on the shoulder and neck part
After which i cut out a plain material and bent it to create a rope so that i can insert it into the round part i was going to bend
After inserting the rope , i did some trimmings and finished work and then my dress was ready to be worn ,
I wore it to my school picnic that same day
After submission, my boss accessed it and took some pictures on her mannequin and u was rated a 10 over 10 , I'm glad it came out well
Thank you so much for stopping by to view my post , I'm really grateful
Have a nice day everyone 🥰❤️🩹
