Thinking Outside the Box

Some great ideas dies in the mind of men, it never even made to writing not to talk of accomplishing it. My name is Odushe Ifeoluwa Daniel, a Nigerian contemporary Artist. A sculptor and Multidimensional
Artist. A Graduate of University of Lagos, Nigeria where I studied creative art and major in sculpture. And this is me modeling or sculpting with clay a man sitting on a tree trunk. He is sitted in a way that depicts that he is in a deep thought. For me i will say he is thinking, but not thinking out side the box.

This is me taking us away from the usual meaning we give to thinking outside the box. For me, this man is not thinking outside the box or wont be thinking outside the box if he is not acting on those great ideas that is running through is mind or head at that moment. As stated above, the first way to think outside the box is to put your ideas to writing. That way you are like an artist making a rough sketch of his or her idea. From this rough sketch is what you can adjust and correct and make a master pieces from. I'll love to share with you all a poem convening my thoughts.

THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX

A silent man, on bark so rough,
A fallen trunk, his pensive perch.
No grand horizons, far enough,
No boundless cosmic, endless search.

His gaze is fixed, on earth, on wood,
A world contained, a mind within.
Ideas stir, as well they should,
But never venture, to begin.

The whispers of his active brain,
Like birds that flock, then fly away.
A masterpiece, he could attain,
If only he would seize the day.

For "out the box" is not just thought,
But pen to paper, taking flight.
A sketch begun, a battle fought,
To bring the unseen, into light.

He ponders deep, a fertile ground,
Where seeds of genius softly lie.
But until action can be found,
His brilliant notions, simply die.

The rough draft waits, the canvas bare,
The first faint line, he must embrace.
Else all the wisdom nesting there,
Will fade, without a single trace.
