Hard night, hard day

Hi, guys!

I couldn't sleep at all last night. It's a complete madhouse, with everything pouring out at once, and I'm going nuts. Tomorrow, I finally have a doctor's appointment, so the story might at least get some traction. I'll know roughly what to do next, because right now I'm really losing it. The constant pain is driving me crazy.

But work on the book is progressing very quickly. I understand that right now I can't let myself get stuck on individual scenes and need to keep sketching out the plot until I have the entire scope of the book laid out. Then, I'll be able to focus completely on editing individual fragments and actually writing, and the next stage will begin. But now is the difficult stage, when I urgently need to build the entire framework while I have the strength and inspiration to do it. The text is turning out to be very lengthy; I was 100% sure I was writing a single book, but it turned out to be a duology. Well, I couldn't have known that from the start. But now, with the text growing at a breakneck pace, it's completely obvious it won't fit into one book.

How best to break it up is still a big question. I have no idea yet how I'll do it, and whether it's even better to work with an editor. But I think I'll figure that out after I'm completely finished writing it. Of course, I'll try to create some kind of logical turning point, but whether it will be possible to do it organically is a big question. I really need to make it work.

Right now, I'm completely absorbed in this text, and by the new year, I hope to have it ready for beta readers. I already have people in mind who I'll ask to work on it, but first, I need to fully polish it. I want it to be as ready as possible for proofreading.
