March 2017 in Loutraki - Greece

Photography is also a memory. We could say that photography is an embalmed memory.

This photo, for example, brings to mind the special moments that I experienced in March 2017. I have already mentioned what happened that day and I suddenly went to Loutraki. I even think this picture has been published along with a few other photos from that unforgettable day, on Instagram and perhaps later, in one of my first publications in the world of steemit. It was definitely a difficult day. It was a mission to save the beloved cat of my dearest friends. Moore, the cat, suffers from a rare disease, and that day he had a seizure, showed symptoms of confusion and eventually fell into a coma. My friends phoned and we went to Loutraki where the vet was a specialist in Moore's disease. Fortunately, we arrived quickly and after two injections Moore recovered. The vet told us that the cat should stay in the clinic for at least two hours to make sure there was no complication. So we took a stroll down the Loutraki seafront.

This city is very close to Athens, less than 80 kilometers away, and is one of my favorites. Neatness, and very good roads, great beach, great restaurants, cafes, and pubs, these are the main features of the city of Loutraki. Quality of life is undoubtedly better than the quality of life in the capital. In the summer the city is transformed into a resort and worth a visit if you are in Greece.

One of the most beautiful places to visit in the surroundings is the monastery of Saint Patapios. I've already posted photos of the monastery about a year ago, on Instagram and here (I think). I'll be posting some unpublished photos from this wonderful place soon.

It's Friday, thank God, and the atmosphere in Athens is autumnal, it's the first rainy day of Autumn 2019. The temperature dropped below 30 degrees for the first time, after a long happy (for me) warm-season... This autumn day in Athens reminds me of that day in Loutraki. Then it was March, today is September, but the atmosphere is suchlike. It seems that in Greece Autumn's prelude is the same as the Spring's!
