8days on steemit(STEEMIT ISNT LIKE FACEBOOK

I started steemit thanks to @gidionline,@egetex through @stach #project20millionnaija campaign.. Well when i heard about steemit, i thought it was just like facebook(well that was how it was explained to me) so then i thought that instead of posting my thought on facebook, steemit was the best because i could make some cash from my post unlike facebook.
So i got my password and i logged into steemit.... That was when the confusion of my life began...i heard people on steemit say that the community tends to favour the female folks more than the male folks so i thought it was going to be easy for me.
I made my introductory post and without proper guildance, i ended up using the wrong tags for my post and instead of leaving my rewards at 50/50, i changed it to 100% steem power..... That wasnt all, just like i was told; it was suppose to be like facebook which was post a writeup wit my pics anf people then likes d post. Normally on fb wen i post i get so many likes but its already 4days and only 7persons had upvoted my post and i had $0.05.... Smh.....i had to ask questions on what i should do and i was told i hadvto join different groups to share my links for people to upvote me(truth be told even right now i find it difficult to join a group) because wen u ask someone for the link to join the group, u just wont get it instead you get excuses.
All of a sudden i heard of discord and telegram, that there are stermit groups there but to get the link to join is the problem,some persons will even tell u to google search and yet u will find NOTHING or you have to wait for some group admin to add you....
People who introduced me to steemit expect me to have figured everything out but steemit is a gradual process to know...
At the end of 8days, i ended up getting $4.30 from my introductory post and i got my first sbd......how amazing.
My point is "STEEMIT IS NOT LIKE FACEBOOK"....... Steemit is a place of work, it is for the serious minded,the focused, the intelligent, the risk takers, the non quitters(i am among them) because it brings out the creation and innovation in you..it makes you go extra miles to know something that is not part of yiur discipline,it keeps u glued to your device.........
@ned and every other person that added to the creation of steemit it, thank you so much for creating a community for the wise, intelligents, genius, making people think outside the box,dedicate,innovate, compose,develop,research and think for new discovery beyond their imagination and also a community for people to learn....God bless u......
