OchĂșn /Monomad Challenge

Hello, everyone!

These snapshots 📾 are my submission for the #monomad challenge by monochromes@monochromes and brumest@brumest.

Popular culture and, as an expression of Afro-Cuban traditions, its distinctive dances. It is a representation of the saints, with their characteristics always taking center stage in the dance—an interpretation and an expression of faith. In the Afro-Cuban religion (SanterĂa), OchĂșn (also spelled Oshun) is the orisha who wears yellow or gold. She is the goddess of love, fertility, beauty, and fresh water. She is syncretized with Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre, which is why her devotees wear yellow.
