The LilGuy's Stroll

Hello, world!

A wet Monday in DD and probably in most parts of the region, so the hubby's suggestion of taking Yongi for another walk didn't happen (he proposed we should go for daily walks to strengthen our muscles). Well, at least we did it yesterday. Our legs were sufficiently stretched for almost an hour (maybe 30 minutes, minus the time spent pausing and taking photos). That's quite good, I think.

Even the LilGuy agrees, lol!

This was his calm face when we returned and took a rest in the yard.

He was still panting from the running, but he sure looked satisfied and happy. I was, too, that's for certain.

The funny thing is that while he loves walking and running, he tires easily. I can't count how many times he slumped on the ground yesterday, panting heavily, like he was having a hard time catching his breath.

And he usually has this look quite often. It's hard to tell whether he is pleased or having a hard time exhaling, lol!

It's also one of the reasons we detoured to the field, because the ground is cooler with the grass and weeds on it, as opposed to the concrete walkway, which can be very hot for his tiny body.

He says, "Let's rest a while, Mum!" So we did.

A minute later, he moves to another spot to cool down. Tongue out. Heavy breathing. He sort of buried his face in the ground at some point.

Anyway, these are some nutsedge and coriander blooming in the field. And look, a fly photobombed one of the pics, lol!

Anyway, here are a few more of the LilGuy's poses to end this post. Unfortunately, I couldn't add the short clip of him running and hopping during the walk.

It's been fun, and we'll do it again. Not soon though, 'coz we will be driving out of town to the Lil Kingdom tomorrow, and we might be spending a night or two at the house in Dad's place, where Yongi would be meeting some adorable furry friends.
