Shadows In the Dark

Hola! Magandang buhay!

We stopped by one of the major dams (Ambuklao) in the region one evening, purposely to show it to the kids who had never seen one in real life. While it was already dark, the guard allowed us in for a quick viewing.

The lighting in the area was poor and my phone cam couldn't take better shots so please bear with all these pics😊

On looking down at the reservoir, we were horrified to find it was filled with floating trash (plastics, bottles and what have you). This was just by the spillway. It wasn't a pleasant sight and I believe it looks more awful during the daytime.

Anyhow, here are some shadows of the railings.

It was clean during my last visit (over 3 decades ago). Unfortunately, that isn't the case anymore.

I think the last time they released water on the spillway was back in October or November during the heavy storms, but we noticed some areas were already growing algae.

Here, my niece Ahjay was hop-dancing.

This is just to record our memory of the visit, hoping that when we return someday, things will be different. This is likewise my non-contest participation in the Shadow Hunting initiative by Melinda.

It's a sunny Thursday morning here, presenting a nice chance to be out and about and of course, shadow hunt. My phone cam better take good shots or else, lol!😅
