A Thrilling Weekend

The husband tossed our bags inside the car and we excitedly hopped in at 5 am on Saturday to our hired driver's amusement. "It seems we're excited?" he teased. "Com'on, excited is an understatement," the husband poked back and we all laughed then drove off.

With the driver's expert maneuvering, we arrived at Quezon City's Stronghand Shooting Range at 9 am. We wanted to experience and learn shooting and the place was amazing. We paid $150 for the two-hour fun and thrilling shooting sessions for three, the driver included. Holding a gun and firing it was an absolute new experience.

And guess what? I hit the bull's eye to my instructor's amazement. Oh, if only you've seen how I grinned, lol! We vowed to go back 'coz there was much to learn.

We hit the road after an early sumptuous lunch at Señor Pollo.

An hour later, Laguna's nice weather welcomed us. Perfect!

The husband booked our flights with High-5 Paragliding for $210. Each of us had a 15-minute thrilling flight with the expert German pilot Uwe. Thanks to the awesome weather, we enjoyed the short yet exhilarating glide, plus the scenic and breathtaking aerial view of the town. There will be a second time, definitely!

After thanking Uwe, we drove away heading to Republ1c Wakepark. The hour-long ($30 for 3) wakeboarding was another electrifying experience that deserves a second shot soon. I loved the adrenaline rush in the water.

We ended the soul-stirring day with a delightful dinner and a restful night at Seda Nuvali Hotel all for $300.

We checked out at 10 am on Sunday and drove back home where we had whole body massage. The cost of the trip including the driver, gas and our meals totaled to $970. The remaining $30 made the masseuses happy.
