Mortal tethers

Oh what it is to spend a rainy day steeped in human folly. Ruminating on the fact that evolution endowed us with traits deemed unnecessary by the world we've created. How we can spend weeks and days jonesing for a chemical surge of endorphins which we call love only necessary for the propagation of our species and fleeting in its nature. Brought low by its memory. All while realizing our energies are better spent on both short and long-term goals that have a more lasting significance in our lives. Such as acquiring knowledge and search for truth to gain a greater understanding of the universe in which we live and our place in it. If only we could free ourselves of these mortal tethers. 20171201_004728_HDR-1.jpg20171201_004341_HDR-1.jpg20171012_042444_Burst01.jpg
