My Crochet Bookmark
Hello, Diyhubbers! How are you all doing? It’s been a minute!! I’m thrilled to share my latest crochet piece with you all.
Today, I made a bookmark, not just any bookmark but a very colourful one and I love it!
Making this bookmark was super easy and fun for me. I learnt a few things in the process.
This bookmark is beginner-friendly and can be made with yarn scraps from the comfort of your home. It involves lots and lots of pattern repetition.
To make this beautiful bookmark, I used the following materials and followed the steps below.
Materials
Yarn
Crochet hook
Scissors
Pear bead
Terminologies
CH— Chain
SL— Slip Stitch
SC— Single Crochet
DC— Double Crochet
Procedure
Step 1:
To make this lovely bookmark, begin by making 17chains.
Step 2:
Proceed to make a double crochet on the 12th chain and chain one. To complete this row, make a DC, chain one, skip the next stitch, and make a DC again. Repeat this pattern to complete this row.
Step 3:
Repeat step two multiple times until you get your desired length.
Step 4:
Satisfied with the length of your bookmark, insert a different colour of yarn and make two SC in each of the holes until you get to the end of your bookmark.
Step 5:
To make your bookmark look more beautiful, proceed to make 5DC in each stich, skip the next stitch, make 1SC, and repeat the pattern again and again until you get to the end of your bookmark.
Step 6:*
Attach your bow and pearl bead, put some finishing touches, and in no time your bookmark is ready.
Do you love bookmarks? Do you love my bookmark? Would you love to create something like this? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments!!
All images are mine except otherwise stated.
Thanks for stopping by
Loads of Love🥰🥰
XOXO
