Life as A Single Parent

It's been a year since I've been a single mother to my four year old daughter. Looking back I couldn't even imagine how did I survive to mend myself from being broken.

Since I was a child, all I want is to build a family on my own in a simple way. Unfortunately God has another plan for me. Later on, I realized being a single mom is all that I ever wanted. It's not an easy task to play both roles as a parent but my child alone becomes my super strength to face it with silver lining and an opportunity to branch out my energy as an independent parent.

Throughout my journey, I am just thankful that I have my mother at my side. Always ready to lend an advice on how to be a good mom and a free class of 101 parenting.

As of now, having a toddler is one of a roller coaster ride. The energy level of my daughter is always on top. She has this clingy and childish aura that totally test my patience as a mom. And at the same time, having a toddler means a messy and chaotic house! End of question. Hahahaha

Being a single mom with a full time job is challenging and rewarding. I may not be a perfect mother but I am proud to say that I will be always present at all her first time and her achievements in the future. As much as possible I don't want to let her feel any void or emptiness as a product of broken family. A family doesn't always define to be complete and perfect its how we portray love, support and understanding are what truly make a family whole, not the number of members or roles.
